Film about Missile Dick Chicks

10:43 AM (permalink)
Babs reports:

As we have mentioned in the past, our husbands hired an undercover ex-FBI agent to spy on us all the time. As her cover, this lady has been saying for the past 6 years or so that she is making a documentary film about us. Now she has even gone so far as to actually arrange a screening of a so-called "rough cut" version of the film in New York City (rough, ooooh!). We chicks are pretty curious about it so we'll be going too. It's the last night of Dubya's second term so he's not got much else to do--we expect he'll be there too. Afterwards the chicks will be around to commiserate about losing our man in Washington--and scheming to figure out the next best way to win influence. Come chat with us!

Monday January 19th, 7:15 until 9:30 includes post-film Q/A. Suggested donation $10.

Anthology Film Archives, 32 2nd Ave in Manhattan.

Chicks try to win over Democrats in Denver

6:10 AM (permalink)
Babs reports:
A glimpse of our fun in Denver in August, trying to buy off delegates. They were sadly all thoroughly gung-ho for Obama, except for one lovely lady just like us.

MDC on Facebook!

7:00 AM (permalink)
Babs reports:
We now have a Facebook page where you can see a lot more of our photos, videos, and exploits. And don't forget our YouTube Channel, where all our videos are collected in once place for your convenience. Like the recently added visit to New Orleans and Gretna, LA where we presented the mayor's office with a Golden Richard for protecting private property in the face of desperate hurricane victims! And one from the archives, an enlightening visit to a University of Kentucky tailgating party in 2004 where we discovered why Democrats vote like Republicans. Enjoy!

Minneapolis Liberty Parade

2:07 PM (permalink)
Babs reports:
Howdy y'all, sorry for the slow updates. We're out partying with the Republicans all the time. But the Minnesota Independent has a nice write up of the Liberty Parade we participated in on Sunday. More to come as soon as possible.

RNC updates

10:48 AM (permalink)
Babs reports:
Find the Missile Dick Chicks at the lefty peace rally where we will taunt the hippies with our new song "Stay, just a hundred years longer". That's today around 1pm at the Minnesota Capitol grounds.

On Tuesday Sept 2nd we will perform at the Ripple Effect Festival, also at the State Capitol. Look for us on the second stage around 2pm.

And don't forget about the Weisman Museum American Politics SideShow. The Chicks are the surprise guests from Texas Thursday at 11am.

Don't forget to keep your eyes open for spontaneous performances all week in Minneapolis and St. Paul. Contact for more information.

Democrats in Denver Day 3

7:30 PM (permalink)
Babs reports:
Here in Denver we've met so many people who have never seen anything like us, even though we've been spreading our message since 2002 already. We had a most interesting encounter with an Iraq war veteran named Brian.

He just returned from Iraq three weeks ago and he was really drawn to our performance. He felt compelled to tell us some hair-raising battle stories, and volunteered to be our extra special forces security detail for the afternoon.

We saw a big parade on Arapahoe & 16th Street put on by Iraq Veterans Against the War-- the best float was the giant truck with the lovely riot police dressed like teenage mutant ninja turtles. We ran into the ninjas again later just outside the Pepsi Center where Joe Biden was speaking.

We performed for a massive formation of hot muscle men with batons--we were practically sandwiched between them and the gaggle of paparazzi snapping our photos. It was very exciting!

When the big show was over and all the delegates streamed out, we tried to buy their influence but they were hard-core Obama supporters and could not be swayed!

Day of a Thousand Blogs

12:37 PM (permalink)
Babs reports:
Everyone in Denver is doing a blog, including us of course, and now there are so many bloggers out there with video cameras. Check us out as filmed by the Chicago Sun Times blogger Mark Bieganski at Starbucks on Tuesday.
